Sunday September 10th
Day 1: USA/ Lima
You leave home to arrive in Lima, Peru early the morning of September 11th. After clearing customs and gathering our luggage we continue on to catch our  early moning (5am) flight to Iquitos.

Monday September 11th
Day 2: Lima/ Iquitos
Having caught or early morning flight, we are off to the jungle city of Iquitos! We are about to enter the Amazon Jungle...

Once we arrive to Iquitos we are met by our Jungle guides and Shaman. From the airport we head by private bus to the Amazon port of Bella Vista, and our speed boat.

On To The Amazon Rainforest Lodge
The journey to the Amazon Rainforest Lodge takes approximately 45 minutes. Winding our way up river it is easy to understand the wilderness is vast beyond imagination. Everywhere you look life is playing out. Beautiful birds dash across tree tops and water. Exotic flowers dot the lavish green of the jungle. Occasionally you see butterflies of extraordinary color silently floating near the riverbank.

We are welcomed to the lodge with fresh fruit drinks and a quick orientation. Afterwards, you are shown to your rooms where your luggage is waiting.

The rooms are each equipped with items rarely experienced in the jungle. Hot and cold running water for showers, satellite TV and king sized beds. Mosquito screening over windows and drapes complete the experience into a safe relaxing atmosphere you are comfortable within.

Dinner is served at approximately 7pm.

Later, after dinner, we meet with our Shaman for orientation and an explanation of the Ayahuasca ceremony offered to those interested in participating the next evening. Please read "The Sacred Ceremonies" section for a complete description of this activity.

Tuesday September 12th
Day 3 Amazon Rainforest Lodge
What do you expect for breakfast in the Amazon? Eggs, toast, coffee or tea... and an assortment of fresh fruits gathered from the jungle. Breakfast is really a treat!

After eating a guided hike into the Rainforest i s offered. During  this walk about you are shown many different plants Shamen use to brew Ayahuasca or make their potent jungle medicines. Jungle Shamen are highly skilled practitioners and artful herbal masters whose information is verbally handed down from generation to generation.

During the afternoon you are free to relax while listening to birds, canoe the jungle river, or hike trails deeper into the Amazon with an experienced guide.

To relax and tune into your surroundings, or venture into the living jungle begins a process expanding your awareness and intensifying your consciousness. For those interested, the first session with our Shaman is offered later this evening.

After breakfast we will be free to explore the surrounding jungle and reflect upon our experiences. After lunch a guided hike into the jungle is offered.

Later, we will return to our lodge and stay another night under this beautiful green canopy sprinkled with stars. Our first initiation completed, we are ready to begin our second initiation.

Thursday September 14th
Day 5 Amazon Rainforest Lodge
Today you learn how Shamen make Ayahuasca and prepare for their ceremonies. During this time you are invited to join in the preparation, which includes prayers, meditation and various activities Shamen perform during the preparation.

After a light dinner (and about 9pm) we again gather to journey with the Shaman and Ayahuasca. Usually, this is a powerful evening to experience. Your prayers and intentions have been added to the Ayahuasca as a group. During the ceremony deep memories and visions remind you of your connection to the Earth and all its numerous inhabitants. This is an evening of spiritual communication you might have never before experienced. If all goes as intended you will understand group consciousness and energetic connections which have been dormant within you.
