To pay online you will be taken to a check in page at PayPal. Once there, sign in and follow the instructions. The transaction is secure and encrypted to insure your financial safety. We have used PayPal for many years without a single problem. Many of our Earthways clients also use PayPal to purchase nutritional supplies, books and music. To recap, the Amazon Experience is $1175, The Andes Experience is $1695 , and the Expedition to Marca Wasi is $675. These figures are based on a minimum of passengers, double occupancy. A $500 deposit reserves your place. 50% of the remainder is to be paid on or before 60 days from departure. The balance MUST be paid in full 35 days from the date of departure, unless you are joining the trip late and have agreed to pay your balance with cash upon arrival to Lima. Tips and taxes ($50 per trip option selected) must be paid 30 days before trip begins The Marca Huasi extension ($685) must be paid in full 35 days before departure. Q: "What are Tips and Taxes?" TIPS Because life is as such in Peru we only use porters and aids we know and trust. These aids are "hired" by hotels and service agencies we have used for years. However, these helpers are not really employed but instead they rely on the quality if their service to prompt you to "tip" them. This is how they make their salary. This situation can become very confusing when a crowd of "helpers" asks for their tip, which they did nothing for. To eliminate this we collect tips from our passengers in advance. Jerry, Kathy or one of our managers accompanying us chooses who helps and what the tip will be. The result is high quality service from trusted individuals. The additional advantage is that our passengers never have to be concerned with this aspect. If you are ever asked for a tip besides what we have paid please advise us. It is important to note that these tips are never used for guides, housekeeping (maids), taxi drivers, waiters or food service employees. These are your responsibility. It is customary to generously tip your guide at the end of the journey or segment they accompanied you on. TAXES As many flights are available, and only one tax window is open, the wait time and lines can be quite long. We do not want our passengers to have to stand in long lines. So, we collect these taxes in advance and have one of our crew wait in line. Your time can be spent enjoying the surroundings, chatting or simply relaxing with friends. It is our goal to provide you the most comfortable and least stressful journey you have ever experienced.
